| | Aikido is challenging both mentally and physically, however the instructors of Kiryu Aikido are outstanding. They provide excellent demonstrations of the techniques and give close one-on-one instruction as the class practice these techniques.. |

| | The atmosphere of the dojo has the right mix of seriousness and fun. We are serious about learning Aikido but at the same time, but at the same time, have fun doing so. |

Kiryu Aikido is a special place for me. I came to the dojo a few years ago and immediately felt that I found what I was looking for. Andrew Sensei has shown that he has a wealth of experience. He teaches you that there's always something new to learn, more polishing to do, more to focus on. And he has the knack of taking you just beyond your "comfort zone" - pushing you to learn more. He also takes the time to give valuable individual attention to each student on the mat - one of the benefits of the small class sizes. The students are also part of what makes Kiryu special, training hard setting a good example for the newer students and encouraging each other in their training. Apart from the training I've developed some great friendships at the dojo. Friendships that I believe will last a lifetime. |

| When I started training at Kiryu Aikido about two years ago, I was a complete newbie to martial arts. About 10 minutes into my first class, I knew it didn't matter in the least. From day one, I have been helped and encouraged in a very positive atmosphere. While starting a martial art is a big step for someone who's never done it, if you just make the decision and walk through the door of Kiryu, the help on the other side will welcome you in. |
